Placing Object
at Bottom of the Page
To quickly place an object at the bottom left of the Corel DRAW
page so that is ready to cut, click on Multicopy and type
1 in the Number of Copies box and press the OK
button.
Setting SignTools opening position
To have SignTools 3 open from a preferred position, simply close
(click on the "X' at the top of the application) before
closing Corel Draw.
Improving Cut Quality
If when cutting small text or fine art and you wish to increase
the quality of the cut, set the Resolution to a higher number.
To do this click on the Cut button, followed by the Settings
button. The Cut Settings dialog box will open. Next click on the Advanced
button and then click on the High Resolution radio button
in the Resolution section.
Setting Rego Marks parameters in Color
Separator
To set the Color Separator Rego Marks use the Rego Marks tool
first. After using the Rego Marks tool to set the
parameters click on the Edit menu in Corel Draw and choose
Undo.
Shades & Decorations recommended
settings
Below are recommended settings for some of the most commonly used
Shades & Decorations used in SignTools.
Outline - Set Thickness to 3 to 10% of letter
height.
Inline - Set Thickness to 2 to 5% of letter height.
Relief Outline - Set Thickness to 3 to 10% of letter
height and set
Relief Space to around half the Thickness.
Outline & Shade - Set Outline Thickness to 3 to
10% of letter height and set X & Y Offsets to around 2
to 4 times the Outline Thickness.
Relief Outline & Shade - Set Outline Thickness to 3 to
10% of letter height. Set Relief Space to around half the
Outline Thickness. Set X & Y Offsets to around
2 to 4 times the Outline Thickness.
Drop Shade - Set X & Y Offsets to 5 to 15% of
letter height.
Relief Drop Shade - Set Outline Thickness to 3 to 10% of
letter height and X & Y Offsets to 5 to 15% of letter
height.
Emboss - Set X & Y Offsets 1 to 5% of letter
height.
Keeping objects together when using the
Vinyl Saver tool
To ensure that objects stay in their respective positions when
using the
Vinyl Saver tool, group them first (shortcut Ctrl+G).
